About SHP
Who are we?
Sutton Housing Partnership is a non-profit making organisation managed by a Board of Management. The board is made up of residents, nominees of the council and independent people with professional skills to help manage the organisation.
What is an ALMO?
Sutton Housing Partnership is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) set up to manage Sutton council’s housing stock and to bring investment and improvements to homes across the borough.
What do we do?
Although the housing stock is still owned by the London Borough of Sutton, Sutton Housing Partnership is responsible for providing the day-to-day management of housing services to over 6,500 tenants and 1,500 leaseholders.

Our Structures
All our staff operate within the following four Directorates:

Chief Executive Directorate
This directorate is responsible for overseeing the corporate governance, communications (internal and external) and executive management of the organisation.

Property Directorate
This directorate is responsible for the maintenance and development of the properties that we manage. This ranges from the major works programme (installation of new kitchens, bathrooms etc), through to the day to day repairs and ensuring our empty properties achieve the re-letting standards. It is also responsible for the physical environment in and around the properties (e.g. cleaning communal parts of blocks of flats, maintaining communal grassed areas).

Neighbourhood Directorate
Our Neighbourhood team manages our day to day relationships with our customers. This can range from the general advice provided by our customer contact centre to more specific advice on tenancy issues such as anti social behaviour, parking, pets, gardens, ending a tenancy and abandoned properties. Also included are the specialist services we provide to older residents in seltered housing schemes and in the wider community.

Resources Directorate
Our Resources directorate provides the back office support for our front line services. The Finance, ICT and Human Resources teams ensure our staff are equipped with the knowledge and tools they require to undertake their roles effectively, with our Income team providing financial strength to SHP through the collection of rents and service charges.

Our Locations
Our main office is based in the heart of Sutton town centre (click here to view a location map|). We also have a variety of locations throughout the Borough where our Sheltered Housing and Estate staff work.
