Graeme-Bennett

After a year spent living and working in Sutton in the 1970s, Graeme became a housing manager with the London Boroughs of Southwark and Greenwich between 1977 and 2000. He then joined the Audit Commission, first as a Housing Inspector, then in various policy roles. When he left in October 2011, Graeme was the National Lead for Housing at the Commission. Graeme is ‘a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing’.

Graeme has spent many years advising Councils and ALMOs on housing management matters, helping to develop national guidance, in particular on anti-social behaviour and estate management, and
co-ordinating housing inspections around the country. He was also a regular conference speaker on all aspects of housing management and inspection. He is now looking forward to using his experience by helping to improve services for the tenants and leaseholders of Sutton Housing Partnership.

Graeme is also a Community Governor at his local Primary School, and a member of
his local running club.
