Black History Month
- Date(s)
- Friday 1st - Friday 29th October 2010
- Description
-
The national celebration, which is held every year in October, honours the achievements of black and Asian communities. Black history is now recognised and widely celebrated by the nation both on a scholarly and commercial level. There is no reason why Black History is celebrated officially in October; it has evolved on time to celebrate it officially in October.
It is important to remember that you do not have to wait to October to celebrate diversity and think of others – do it each day.
There will be a presentation board with useful facts and general information – displayed in the reception area of SHP.
