As from 16.10;2010 the street scene team have organised 10kg of free grit for each resident that can be collected from 5 different locations around the borough. You will need to take proof of residency with you e.g. council tax bill, driving licence, utility bill. You will be able to collect grit on behalf of elderly friends/ neighbours or people who don’t have cars – but must have their proof of residency too. People who receive the assisted bin service can have their grit delivered to them – they need to call 020 8770 5070 to arrange.
Please note : Woodcote Green Garden Centre – people need to go to the Express Drive Thru and also they are open from 10.30 – 4.30 on Sundays not 10 – 5pm – however LBS staff will be on hand to help people should they arrive earlier or later.
