Residents suffering from anti-social behaviour are to be supported by a new DVD launched last week.
Aimed at giving information, advice and practical help on how different types of anti- social behaviour are dealt with, the DVD also sets out to explain the reality of anti-social behaviour and the serious impact it can have on peoples’ lives.
In a joint approach to resolving issues of anti-social behaviour, Sutton Housing Partnership has teamed up with Sutton Police and Sutton’s Safer Neighbourhood Teams to produce the DVD.
Residents of Sutton Housing Partnership were also involved in the making of the film, helping to develop the script and the three case studies which have been dramatized in the film.
Drama students from local schools have also taken part in acting some of the roles in the DVD giving the film an educational approach which is hoped will highlight the consequences of ASB to younger people.
Susan Holbrook, Head of Community Cohesion at Sutton Housing Partnership said: “We want to give as much support as we can to customers suffering from anti-social behaviour. The DVD will give practical information and advice about how we tackle cases, the processes involved, and how to go about reporting problems to us.”
“The DVD will also be a useful tool for training SHP’s staff, and the local agencies we work with, to better support residents who are suffering from nuisance.”
If you are an SHP resident affected by anti-social behaviour or if you would like a copy of the new ASB DVD please contact SHP’s Customer Care team on freephone 0800 195 5552 or on 020 8915 2000 from a mobile.
