Some people go above and beyond and we're looking to you, to tell us who makes Sutton a better place through their community leadership, volunteering or charity work. It could even just be someone who always makes sure their neighbours are OK. No good deed is too big or too small!
Lots of you are involved in your local community, which is a big part of what makes Sutton such a great borough to live in. We want to celebrate the efforts of those people who make the lives of others better. Last year, there was nearly 100 nominations and over 300 votes on the winners.
Council leader Sean Brennan said: "Human kindness, good citizenship or public spirit. Whatever you want to call it, Sutton has it in abundance and has had it for many years."
During these difficult economic times, carers, community groups and council services have to deliver more, with less money and fewer people. As a result, the hard work and personal contributions made by people in the borough are even more deserving of recognition.
Last year's winners were Jonathan Moritz, Brenda Kingsmill and Nic Andrews. Jonathan said "I was so pleased just to be nominated. I started running the scouts because some of the leaders couldn't commit to it as they were moving away. I stepped in and have found it massively rewarding."
