Age UK are running their fourth annual “itea and biscuits” week, which aims to introduce people aged 50 and over to the benefits of technology.
To mark the occasion, Age UK Sutton and the Housing Centre are running two “taster sessions” at SCOLA on Monday 19th & Thursday 22nd September.
Attendees will use Sutton Council’s new housing website to learn basic internet skills, including how to find & navigate websites, fill in online forms and print documents. The sessions will also cover how to stay safe online.
There will be someone present to give you one-to-one support throughout the session, which should last no longer than 2 hours. This is a great opportunity to discover how the internet can give you extra independence in your day-to-day life, particularly as more and more Council Services move online.
Spaces are limited to 10 people per session. If you would like to attend please contact Judy Okeke from Age UK on 020 8770 5360 to book a place. Please note the content of the two sessions is the same, we just want to give as many people as possible an opportunity to attend.
