Thames Reach has increased the number of outreach shifts looking for rough sleepers and emergency accommodation is being set up by local authorities to house homeless people across the capital as London shivers in the grip of an icy cold snap.
Thames Reach’s London Street Rescue service and specialist Street Outreach Response Teams are sending out extra shifts of staff and volunteers every night to help find people sleeping rough and to get them quickly into this warm, sheltered accommodation.
The public can help the outreach teams by phoning in sightings of homeless people who they are concerned about on the 24 hour help line 0870 383 3333..
