The St Helier Festival is back once more and this year organisers are urging local people from across the borough to come along and join in the fun on Saturday 16th June from 12-5pm.
The organisers of the event, the Sutton Federation of Tenant and Resident Associations (SFTRA), are also looking for more local community groups and agencies providing public services to take part in the event this year.
Frank Berry, the Chair of SFTRA, said: “The Festival has grown steadily in the last four years and this year I would encourage local groups, charities or businesses to come along and join in with this community fun day. We are offering stands and stalls for anyone interested in meeting local residents and promoting their service or group.”
This years festival will be have a range of entertainment for all age groups including a Big Top circus, local bands and dancers performing on the main stage and a chance for anyone brave enough, to try out the Army’s assault course.
An all day barbeque and gourmet bistro will be offering delicious food and refreshments.
The festival will be held on the open green space next to Sutton Arena at Middleton Road in Carshalton.
