The St Helier Festival is back!

The St Helier Festival is now in its second year and is one of Sutton's most popular community events.

This year’s free community event, taking place on Saturday 12 June 2010, will include a ‘Big Top’ circus with children’s circus workshops, music from Radio Marsden, live bands and performing acts, stalls and stands, face painting, kid’s football matches, bike displays, food from around the world and much, much more.

The festival, which takes place on the green at Sutton Arena, is organised for the local community by the Sutton Federation of Tenant & Resident Associations (SFTRA), with the support of Sutton Housing Partnership, the local Safer Neighbourhood Teams and the London Borough of Sutton.

We are expecting over 5,000 visitors to support this year’s festival and we are currently looking for community groups who would like to come and take part in this wonderful community event.

So if you would like to get involved in this year’s St Helier Festival then please contact Karen Price, SFTRA Federation Officer, on 020 8915 2349 or email info@sftra.org| for an application form. The closing date for applications is Monday 17 May 2010 .
