Anti-Social Behaviour Procedure

What are Sutton Housing Partnership’s Procedures For Dealing with Complaints of Anti Social Behaviour?

Before Making a Complaint
Many of us have problems with our neighbours from time to time sometimes due to life-style differences or events in our lives. By far the most common complaint is about noise from neighbours particularly from residents living in flats. Everyone’s tolerance of noise levels is different. Most of us will be understanding about daytime noise say from young children playing, or occasional DIY particularly when neighbours have just moved in, or the occasional celebration.

Very often life-style differences can be resolved by speaking to neighbours and explaining how their noise is affecting you. If you cannot reach a mutually acceptable agreement about the problem, contact us and we can refer your case to Merton and Sutton Mediation Scheme who provide a free service and help neighbours reach their own agreements. We have a separate leaflet about what Mediation involves.

If, however, you have tried to speak to your neighbour or your complaint is more serious and you would prefer not to, you can call our Customer Care  team on Freephone 0800 195 5552 or from your mobile on 0208 915 2000 (call charges may vary depending on your network) or e-mail us at customerservices@suttonhousingpartnership.org.uk|

If you need to contact us urgently out of hours to report anti-social behaviour or nuisance please call 0208 770 5000. If you are suffering from Anti-Social Behaviour from others in the vicinity of your home who are not your neighbours you can also report the problem on the number above.
