CHAUCER FUN DAY 2011
Saturday 17th September 2011 12-4pm
On Saturday 17th September Chaucer estate held their annual fun day.
The focus of the day was to promote cohesion on the estate, and to recruit new members for the existing Resident Association.
Despite the weather being terribly windy, there was a good turnout of residents who seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
Activities included a bouncy castle, gladiator dual, tombola, craft table and BBQ. PCSO Steve also made a special appearance.
Two members from Shanklin Resident’s Democracy – Angie Purdue and Chris Honey kindly did the face painting for the event. It was so popular the queue never seemed to go down!
Shanklin Res Dem also provided a candy floss machine which went down a storm.
Members of the Chaucer Resident's Association also helped out with the tombola and the cake stall, and there was a Sutton Federation of Tenant's and Resident's Association (SFTRA) member on hand to answer any queries and encourage involvement.
