Mobile Response Services

What is the Mobile Response Service?

The Mobile Response Service provides service users with the opportunity to live somewhere with their own front door and keep their independence, but have the security of help and advice at hand when needed.

The Mobile Response service is an emergency service that can be provided to support the Community Alarm Service provided by London Borough of Sutton and other providers.

The Mobile Response Service can help service users in a number of ways, for example:

  • To offer reassurance if you are feeling anxious or worried
  • To help with accessing other services such as personal care, aids and adaptations etc. in an  emergency
  • To give access to emergency services in an emergency
  • To assess emergency situations
  • To secure your property in the event of your having to go into hospital

If you need emergency support, you should use your community alarm to seek assistance from the Control Centre who will call one of the mobile response officers to attend. Sometimes if it is appropriate, the control centre will also request the attendance of an ambulance or other emergency services.

To access the emergency mobile response service you will need to have access to a community alarm service and a ‘key safe’ – further information about these services are available on request.
