Paying Your Rent
At Sutton Housing Partnership we want to make paying your rent as easy as possible for you.
These are the choice of payment methods available:

Direct Debit - We can collect your rent on the 1st & 10th of every month or even fortnightly. Please telephone our freephone 0800 155 5552 or from your mobile on 020 8915 2000* to set up a Direct Debit mandate - all we need are your bank details. You will then be sent a letter to confirm how much we will be collecting and when.

Standing Order – If you pay weekly at the Civic Offices, why not pay your rent by standing order and avoid the queues? You can download a form click here. Once the form is completed, it should then be taken directly to your bank for them to process.

Internet Payments - You can log onto the London Borough of Sutton Website and follow the online instructions. A reference number will be given should you have any queries regarding your payment. You will need your card details and your pay reference number.

Touch tone telephone service – Call 0208 770 7887 and follow the instructions. This is a 24-hour service. You will need your credit or debit card details and your pay reference number.

Telephone payments - Through our Customer Services, Income and Rents staff (we are able to accept both debit & credit cards)

Cash via Swipe Card - At The Post Office, at PAYZone outlets and also at Civic Offices using the ‘coinscan’ machine in the reception area. The ‘Coinscan’ machine is the easiest and most convenient way of paying by cash. This can be used from 6am to 11pm, Monday to Friday.

By post – Cheques only. Please ensure that the cheque is made payable to London Borough of Sutton, with your rent account number, name and address written on the back of the cheque.

How does paying my rent in advance or on time help me?
If we managed to collect all rent when it was due, Sutton Housing Partnership would be better able to use these funds towards managing your homes. You can also help Sutton Housing Partnership by paying your rent by Direct Debit.
Direct Debits are the cheapest and quickest method for us to collect your rent. Any future changes to your rent will be automatically be adjusted,so you don't need to worry! By paying by Direct Debit, you will also be eligible to enter into the twice yearly prize draw, where you could win £150. Help us to give you the best possible services by paying your rent when it’s due.
Pay by Direct Debit and double your chances of winning £50.00 in our monthly prize draw.
To qualify for the secodn prize draw all you needto have is maintain a clear rent account.
You may select shopping vouchers, an opening deposit into a Credit Union account, 12 months of contents insurance. or request a transfer into your existing bank account.
