Sutton Housing Partnership’s Estatecare Service
Our new Estatecare service will be launched in early November 2008 and will replace our residential caretaking service and mobile cleaning service.
If you live in a communal block, we will be writing to you in October to inform you about the changes and the new schedule for your block. In the table below you will find our new Estatecare Teams and the blocks they will be scheduled to cover.

Please note we are still waiting for confirmation of the Estate Team supervisors.
Each team will be staffed by neighbourhood caretakers or mobile caretakers who will carry out a range of scheduled duties. These will include the following:
· cleaning internal floors, walls, sills, panels and fixtures
· litter picking, bin rotation and room cleaning
· weedkilling, leaf removal, removing debris & hazardous waste
· reporting communal disrepair and anti-social behaviour
· other similar estatecare duties
The service will cover communal internal and external areas. Each Estatecare Team will work to a planned schedule. These schedules may vary according to day-to-day workloads on sites or where seasonal workload demands change.
Neighbourhood Estatecare Teams will operate on our larger estates while mobile Estatecare Teams will tend to our smaller dispersed blocks. These services will operate between the hours of 8.00am until 4.12pm, Monday to Friday. Outside these hours, emergencies can be reported to the Council's Security Unit on 020 8770 5000.
Our Sheltercare Team will operate on a mobile basis, weekdays only, delivering services solely to our sheltered housing blocks. They will carry out additional cleaning in communal lounges, toilets and bathrooms.
A weekend Estatecare Team will cover essential duties on larger blocks between the hours of 8.00am and 4.12pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Essential duties will be limited to clearing hazardous waste or obstructions, litter picking, litter bin emptying, dog bin emptying (Saturdays) and bin rotation (including floor debris in bin rooms).
