Playground Maintenance

Service.

External Services manages the condition of playgrounds on housing sites, undertaking routine visual inspections as well as quarterly maintenance checks on play equipment.

We manage and maintain playgrounds at the following sites:

Durand Close (play area & ballpark)
Corbet Close (x 2 play areas) (Map of Play Area 1, Map of Play Area 2)
Mill Green (x 2 playgrounds)
Benhill estate (x3 playgrounds and 1 ballpark) (Map 1, Map 2)
Alexandra Gardens (x1 playground)

Kedeston Court (x1 playground)
Shanklin estate (x2 playgrounds) (Map 1, Map 2, Map 3)
Clensham Court (x1 play area)
Collingwood estate (x1 play area)

Daily inspections are carried out by residential caretakers and/or mobile estate staff on all estates except Kestral & Clensham Court & Alexandra Gardens where these smaller sites receive an inspection on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Our maintenance contractor is Recreational Supply Services who undertake quarterly maintenance visits carrying routine repairs like fixing bolts/chains. They also report disrepair of equipment which is hazardous or beyond further practical use.

Targets

Emergency repairs are expected to inspected and made safe within 24 hours of receiving a report
Urgent Repairs are expected to be carried out within 10 working days
Routine repairs and improvements are expected to be carried out within 3 months of a quarterly inspection taking place
