Standing Order
Call and ask for a form to be sent to you or download one from this site. Complete the form and return it to your bank or building society. You decide the date and frequency. Any changes will require you notifying your bank.
Swipe Card
Accepted in all Post Offices and Civic Offices. If you have lost or not received a card please contact Customer Services and they will order you a new one.
Direct from Salary
If you work for the borough, you may have your rent deducted from your wages. Just supply your employee number and we will make all the arrangements.
Cash Hall
Payments can be taken at the Civic Offices between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm (Mon- Friday).
Internet Payments By Credit or Debit Card
You can log into the Council’s website (using this link) to make a payment. Follow the online instructions. A reference number will be given should you have any queries regarding your payment. You will need your card details and your pay reference number.
Telephone Payments
Touch tone telephone - call 0208 770 7887 and follow the instructions. This is a 24-hour service. You will need your credit or debit card details and your pay reference number.

Failure to pay your rent will result in action being taken against you. The following can happen if you do not keep up payments:
The Council taking possession of your property (you will still be liable for the outstanding debt). Legal Costs being added to your debt.
Taking back possession of any garage or parking space you may rent from us.
A court judgment being obtained against you, which will affect your credit rating.
Any Council arranged insurance policy for household contents will be cancelled.
