Housing for older people

If you want to move to a housing for older persons scheme you should apply for it at Sutton Council

 

Housing for older people is accommodation which has been designed primarily for older people who are able to live on their own but may require some help to maintain their tenancy. Housing Management Plus is the service which helps residents to maintain their tenancy. 

 

Housing for older people schemes have:

  • specialist housing management staff (Independent Living officers)

  • a 24 hour Eldercare alarm call system linked to a call centre

  • communal lounges

  • planned social events

  • guest rooms for hire (Milton House, Church Hill and Crownbourne Court)

 

Independent Living Officers provide:

  • regular welfare checks

  • weekly drop in sessions

  • advice, information and guidance

  • Work Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

 

Residents can:

  • live independently

  • be safe and secure

  • have guests overnight

Independent Living Officers

Independent Living officers are available Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. If they are on leave or unavailable another member of staff will be available. Outside of these working hours residents can contact the Eldercare alarm contact centre.
