Independent Living accommodation for people 55+
Independent Living accommodation is self-contained accommodation that has been designed primarily to help people aged 55 and over to live independently. Residents in our schemes have access to an Independent Living Officer who can help them find any extra support needed to sustain their tenancy and carry on living in their home for as long as possible. There are various schemes across Sutton, Carshalton and Wallington.

What our schemes provide
- specialist housing management staff (Independent Living Officers)
- a 24 hour alarm call system linked to a call centre
- communal lounges (not at all schemes)
- planned health and wellbeing events
- guest rooms for hire (Milton House, Churchill and Crownbourne Court)
Independent Living Officers
Independent Living Officers are available Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. If they are on leave or unavailable another member of staff will be available. Outside of these working hours residents can contact the Eldercare alarm contact centre.
Independent Living Officers provide:
- regular welfare checks
- weekly drop in sessions
- advice, information and guidance.
What residents can do in our schemes
Residents in our Independent Living schemes can:
- live independently
- be safe and secure
- have guests overnight.
