Sutton Housing Partnership has successfully applied to the courts for committal proceedings against two perpetrators of anti-social behaviour, who were already the subject of civil injunctions.
The first case involved a resident who continued to cause alarm and distress by engaging in acts of anti-social behaviour directed at her neighbour. This resident received an 18 week suspended prison sentence.
The second case relates to a visitor to a property who had repeatedly breached the terms of an injunction by causing noise nuisance and directing verbal abuse at more than one person. He was sentenced to a 90 day prison sentence and will continue to be subject to injunctive action on his release from prison.
Sutton Housing Partnership will continue to work with the police and partner agencies to address incidents where residents or visitors cause nuisance, annoyance or alarm to others.
