We would like to invite you to join Community Action Sutton and Sutton Housing Partnership on the first St Helier Community Walkabout on Thursday 26 May at 10.30am.

The St Helier Community Walkabout is an opportunity for all residents in St Helier to explore how we can work together to make your community a better place to live.

Addressing local issues in St Helier

Our community walkabouts normally focus on the blocks and estates we manage in the borough. We involve residents, ward councillors and other agencies including the Safer Neighbourhood Team, London Fire Brigade as well as relevant teams from the London Borough of Sutton (LBS), for example,  Waste Management, Enforcement and Housing Regeneration.

In some neighbourhoods such as the St Helier Estate, where the Council's housing stock is distributed among privately owned or privately rented homes, we are adapting the community walkabout approach to reflect the more diverse tenure structure, and involve a wider range of community groups.

This collective approach will establish resident priorities and harness the energy and commitment which exists to deliver practical initiatives and physical improvements.

Who can attend

This walkabout is for all residents (including non-SHP residents) in the St Helier area. It will focus on local issues and all residents' needs and we will prioritise what you would like us to focus on and the issues you would like us to address.

This may include issues like fly-tipping, parking, anti-social behaviour, repairs, investment needs or anything else that is a priority to you.
