Sutton Housing Partnership has launched a new Facebook group for residents.

The Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) Residents Group, which is aimed at tenants and leaseholders, has been created to enhance the ways that residents can engage with SHP.

Last year in our ‘What Residents Want' Communications Campaign (2020), we surveyed over 1,200 residents and 74% aged between 35 and 65, said that they use social media (in particular, Facebook) on a day-to-day basis.

Residents in the group will be able to take part in SHP polls, focus groups and discussions, find ways to solve common issues, share community news and information, or just talk and connect with others.

Steve Tucker, Managing Director of Sutton Housing Partnership, said:

"We're really excited to launch our new Facebook group and we hope that residents will find it useful and rewarding. Our partnership with residents is central to everything we do at SHP and this new group will enable residents to tell us their priorities for improving our services.

“During COVID-19 it has been very difficult for residents to attend meetings or events like the Scrutiny Boot Camp and this new Facebook Group helps to keep SHP’s conversation with residents going.

“Getting together to discuss issues and ideas on social media can also bring a wider group of residents into regular involvement activity - people who may not have the time to attend meetings in person but would still like to have their voices heard. We look forward to hearing from residents.”
