Repairs update: what's next?

Over the next few months we will be introducing a number of improvements to the repairs service in response to your feedback. We have already introduced a handyperson service for our Independent Living schemes and over the next few months we will be:

  • offering evening and Saturday morning appointments

  • changing the response times of certain repairs

  • introducing new contractors to assist with workloads at peak times

  • improving the out-of-hours emergency system with a new provider to manage emergencies 

  • increasing the number of estate walkabouts to inspect communal repairs

  • providing more information to residents on future larger works in your home or estate

  • publishing our plans over the next three to five years for estate improvements.

We regularly meet with a team of resident volunteer inspectors and carry out walkabouts on estate areas to look at communal repairs. If you would like to be involved please do get in touch. We continually look at ways we can improve the service to our customers and would be happy to discuss any ideas or thoughts you may have.
