Re-thinking Repairs at SHP

SHP is bringing your repairs service in house and the current team will become SHP employees from 1 April 2020. Our aim is to build a high quality, consistent and sustainable repairs service which builds resident trust and confidence and delivers wider community benefits such as apprenticeships and training.

An in-house repairs service will give SHP direct control in order to respond to residents’ priorities. The changes will include:

• Enhanced post-inspections and accountability for work done
• Better communication with residents about progress of their repairs
• Closer supervision of subcontractors

We are looking forward to welcoming the new team to SHP and to continuing to offer a skilled and capable workforce to deliver the new, modern repairs service.
