Scrutiny Bootcamp - You Said, We Did.

Thanks to all of you who joined us at the Scrutiny Bootcamp in September 2019. It’s a great opportunity for us to chat to our residents about things that matter to you. Here are just some of the conversations we had about Health, Anti-Social Behaviour and the Community Walkabouts. For the full report on the session please visit www.suttonhousingpartnership.org.uk/scrutiny or call 020 8915 2000.

A summary of the discussions is below:

Health

The health and wellbeing pilot has been evaluated and we are now extending a similar themed health and wellbeing programme to a wider age group in the Shanklin estate.

SHP is investigating options for commissioning community based activities. An information leaflet has been provided with Health Navigators.

Anti-Social Behaviour

There is an in-house legal professional from whom advice can be sought. This topic will be covered in a future bootcamp where updates will be provided. The police will be invited to future bootcamps.

With regard to the recreational smoking of cannabis, SHP is working closely with the police to issue letters of caution. Updates will be provided at a Bootcamp in 2020.

Community Walkabouts

SHP are filling posts in the Community Development Team and working with Community Action Sutton on a new approach to community development which will develop on our existing activities, engage more residents and deliver clear outcomes for residents. The 2020 programme of walkabouts is being compiled and will be widely circulated.

A report of outstanding and completed communal repairs will be added to the walkabouts agenda.
