Chaucer Gardens, Chaucer House and Milton House heating and hot water outage

One of the connections to the main heating pumps in Chaucer House has failed completely. Our partner contractors Smith & Byford are in the process of obtaining and installing a replacement but are unlikely to do so before the morning.

This means that the heating and hot water to the whole estate, including Chaucer Gardens and Milton House will be off until this is repaired. There will be some residual heat and hot water but only for a short period.

We have instructed our contractor Smith and Byford to prioritise supplying temporary electric heaters to residents until this has been resolved and they are prioritising our older residents at Milton House and Chaucer Gardens.

Smith and Byford are delivering heaters to any resident that would like one overnight and you can call the out of hours number anytime on 0208 915 2000 if you would like delivery of a temporary heater.

Heating and hot water is expected to be back fully operational as close to lunchtime tomorrow 16 October.

We are very sorry for this inconvenience and will have operatives working around the clock to resolve this.
