Warning about disrepair claims companies

We want to alert you to the presence of claims management companies falsely representing themselves as Sutton Housing Partnership or Sutton Council repairs staff.

They may approach you directly by calling you, emailing or through direct messages to your social media accounts. They may also leave comments on our Sutton Housing Partnership  website posts, falsely representing themselves as repair staff and asking you to get in touch with them to resolve a repair.

Scammers use clever schemes to trick people into giving them money or information.

Please be extremely careful when interacting with any company or individual and or when you are asked to share confidential information regarding your property and tenancy.

How we communicate with residents

On social media, we will only communicate through the official Sutton Housing Partnership account.

If you are contacted by one of our repairs team over the phone, they will quote you a reference/case number for your repair.

For home visits, all Sutton Housing Partnership appointed contractors will make an appointment with you prior to visiting your home. Our contractors carry ID, and you should ask them to see it. If you want to verify any of our staff or contractors, please call us on 020 8915 2000.

If you have any concerns about any messages or calls you’ve received, please reach out to us via direct message to the Sutton Housing Partnership Facebook or X (Twitter) accounts or call us at 0208 915 2000.
