We have a Board of Directors comprising twelve members: four residents (three tenants and one leaseholder), four independents, and four council nominees from all political parties.
Our board’s responsibilities are to:
- guide strategic direction in line with Management Agreement
- scrutinise and monitor performance
- approve budgets
- agree policies and make financial decisions
- ensure that SHP is run lawfully and ethically
During the current global COVID-19 pandemic, the SHP Board meets by virtual means ensuring that we continue to deliver homes and communities where residents feel happy and secure. During these unprecedented times we want to reassure our residents, leaseholders and stakeholders that our Board members maintain their focus and continue to work on your behalf.
The Board has adopted a Code of Governance which sets out the principles that underpin good governance and, through our policies, explain how we put these principles into practice. You can read SHP's Code of Governance here.
Board meetings remain open to the public, and you may join via telephone. Please contact us if you would like to attend.
We are actively looking for a new resident member. If you would like to become a Board member, please contact us to express your interest and we can talk to you about the application process.
