You Said, We Did
At our last Resident Engagement Morning, you gave us feedback and suggestions on how we can improve our service.
Here is what you said, and what we did:
You Said
Culvers Retreat scaffolding stayed up for months and months after work finished and they have been waiting for the sheds to be done for years.
We Did
Scaffolding - a new process is now in place to monitor and manage scaffolding works to ensure that, once erected, any associated work is completed promptly and that scaffolding is struck promptly on completion of the work.
You Said
Repairs job raised workman turns up and they think they are there for a different job plumber turns up when it should be an electrician for example. They are send responses in jargon for example REFIX what does this mean to a resident think more about the wording used when communicating.
We Did
We have improved the diagnosis tool and provide text updates so these issues should no longer be occurring.
Balaam House do not see their housing manager and many complaints that housing managers are not up to date with relevant information.
Balaam House not only has regular contact with their Housing Manager if requested, but also has a RAG (Residents Action Group) which all are welcome to join. The RAG meets with senior stakeholders at SHP, SFTRA and the wider community to discuss current themes. If residents would like to contribute to the RAG please let your Housing Manager know. In terms of updates, this would be dependent on the query and the Housing manager may need to carry out some investigation first to find out the latest update before responding. The Housing Manager for Balaam House is Rob Spry.
