On Thursday 22 May, Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) and the Sutton Federation of Tenants and Residents Associations (SFTRA) teamed up for an Estate Action Day at Benhill. This new initiative is all about truly engaging with our residents and providing a direct platform for you to report outstanding issues and repairs.

Throughout the day, dedicated SHP teams were on-site, ready to tackle various tasks identified during the morning walkabouts. These Community Action Days are a vital part of our commitment to building an ongoing two-way conversation with our tenants and leaseholders across the borough.

The Benhill event kicks off a broader six-month initiative (May to October 2025) that will see similar action days held across six estates this year.

During the 10:30 am Community Walkabout, residents joined their Housing Manager, Hilda Wood, Kingdom Enforcement Officers and fellow residents to pinpoint areas for improvement. Their invaluable input helped us address key concerns such as:

• Minor estate improvements

• Anti-social behaviour or crime-related issues

• Highways concerns, including abandoned vehicles

• Fly-tipping
