DAHA Accreditation

Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) has successfully achieved re-accreditation from the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA). This accreditation is the gold standard for how housing providers in the UK should respond to domestic abuse, reaffirming its position as a leader in providing safe, compassionate, and effective support for survivors of domestic abuse.

The accreditation is the benchmark for how housing providers should respond to domestic abuse in the UK. By receiving this accreditation, we are taking a stand to ensure that we deliver safe and effective responses to domestic abuse.

The news follows an assessment which took place in March this year. Our highlights include that:

  • our policy and procedures were clear and easy to follow

  • staff were offered support and high quality training on dealing with domestic abuse cases

  • there is a strong awareness of safeguarding within our organisation

  • our staff have a good awareness of domestic abuse and are empathetic and non judgemental

  • there is wide engagement across the organisation
