Harriet's Fruit and Veg Patch At Crownbourne Court

Meet Harriet, an inspiring resident at Crownbourne Independent Living Scheme, who's found a way to bring nature to her community. Rather than throwing away seeds from her supermarket-bought fruits and vegetables, Harriet reuses them, transforming once-empty areas of the communal garden into vibrant growing patches.

Her green thumb has created an impressive array of produce, from tomatoes, potatoes, sweet corn, peppers, melons, and strawberries.

Harriet's gardening is completely natural, she even gets her neighbors to save their banana peels, which she repurposes as an organic fertiliser. A shared harvest of fresh, homegrown goodness for all her fellow residents.

Harriest says:

“Gardening and growing fruit and vegetables is like therapy for me, watching something transform from a tiny seed into fresh produce – that’s what genuinely matters.”
