Mobility Scooter Pods
Safe and accessible mobility scooter charging is important on Sutton Housing Partnership estates as storage is restricted. Mobility scooters are essential for many residents with disabilities or mobility issues, providing them with the independence and freedom to move around in their community.
We have recently installed new storage pods at Chaucer Estate, Brendon House and Argyle House. Accessible charging facilities can also contribute to the overall safety of the community. Improperly charged or malfunctioning scooters can pose a hazard to both the user and others. Ensuring that residents have access to safe and reliable charging stations can help prevent accidents.
The goal for these stores is to provide designated storage and charging points for mobility scooters, where otherwise restricted, potentially improving accessibility and convenience for users.
